Blake Lively has been totally killing it at Cannes. The actress has been promoting her new film ‘The Shallows’ and showing off her new baby bump, as well as some serious style credentials.
While Cannes brings out the best from everyone’s wardrobes, Blake has really stepped up the style stakes, putting all the other starlets to shame.
One of our favourite looks was her Giambattista Valli Haute Couture mini-dress that she sported to the photocall for her film. The unusual dress was very cute and really stood out against her array of floor-length gowns.
The skirt featured a white textured fabric that contrasted with the pastel pink top that was embellished with gold beaded details. She showed off her baby bump by adding a slim black belt with a bow high on her waist.
Her dress also had a light purple shawl that covered her shoulders on the slightly grey day. This added another textured element due to the pleated design and black beaded detail in the centre that served as a necklace-like embellishment.
However, it wasn’t just Blake’s dress that looked amazing. As she said on her Instagram, it is all in the details, and the details throughout her outfit were spot on.
Adding a bit of edge to her pretty pink style, Blake opted for a pair of gorgeous black and white striped pointed court shoes, which came complete with gold stiletto heels to tie in with the dress’ details.
Her bag was a black box clutch that had pearl tassels down one side, adding both texture and some subtle bling. This bag also tied in with her black oversized sunglasses, as the frames had embellishments that looked like black pearls around the lenses.
But our favourite touch was Blake’s rings. She wore a mix of black and gold rings to tie her look together, all of which had great modern designs.
She combined three statement rings on one hand, with a yellow gold one in the centre that had a clear stone cut in a triangle shape. This was framed by two black rings that featured partial bands so the black gems sat at different points on her fingers. The overall effect worked really well.
