The BBC Music Awards may not be the biggest award show around but it definitely brought out the celebs yesterday (Thursday December 11th). Musicians from across the globe strutted their stuff and picked up awards at the event, which took place at Earls Court, London.
While some of the looks that debuted on the red carpet were a bit controversial, others were perfectly chic and would look at home at one of the more high profile awards ceremonies. One such look was worn by English singer, Jess Glynne.
The redhead arrived at Earl's Court wearing a gorgeous, fitted black dress. The dress hugged her figure and accentuated her height, making the singer look lean and statuesque.
Rocking the trend for high necklines and long sleeves, Jess looked high fashion and chic in her choice, which was a perfect option for a cold winter night. Adding a slightly lighter touch to the ensemble, the Right Here singer chose a pair of strappy shoes, which displayed a small amount of ivory skin and stopped the look being over-the-top.
With her curly red hair worn down in a stylishly messy mass and her eyes highlighted in dark smoky tones, Jess looked every inch the rockstar and managed to steal the limelight from better known starlets.
The final piece of the puzzle was a gorgeous statement necklace that really shone out against the black backdrop of her dress. It featured several disks in a pale, worn gold colour, which were held together with a nucky chain. Each of the disks had a dark-coloured gemstone in the centre and patterns around the edges, creating a stunning textured look.
All in all, Jess' look was one of the highlights of the evening and showed that sometimes less really is more.
You can get a similar style by teaming high necklines and simple colours with large statement necklaces to help them stand out. This is a really on-trend style that is a great option for festive parties right now.
