Anna will première on The Jewellery Channel at 2am this Friday 6th December. We’re really excited to have Anna join the team and can’t wait for her first show. Earlier this week we managed to have a quick chat with lovely Anna and get a bit of background info.
TJC: What got you started in the world of TV and acting?
Anna: I moved to London from America aged seven and auditioned for a local pantomime so I could meet lots of new friends quickly. My first solo was in ‘Babes in the Wood’ and that was it, I was hooked. Performing became my new love and I went on to study drama at Exeter and the Central School of Speech and Drama, then finally getting involved in the University TV station presenting various segments.
Since then I have continued to present as a freelancer for beauty and lifestyle features where I could channel my love of fashion and styling. I also worked as a presenter on ‘Rocks and Co’ where I honed my passion and knowledge of gemstones.
TJC: Any hobbies? What keeps you busy when you aren’t working?
Anna: Outside of work I love to travel and see the world. I like to keep active and have a passion for adventure leading me to skydive, bungee jump, Wakeboard, snowboard and ski!
TJC: What is your favourite gemstone?
Anna: I love Zultanite. I only first heard about it about a year ago, but it was love at first sight! Such a unique gemstone that displays such a variety of colour in all lights! I just need to go out for more candlelit dinners so I can see those beautiful pink hues.
TJC: If you could sum up your look and aesthetic in three words, what would they be?
Anna: Three words?! I talk live for four hours! Okay, Fresh, lively, myself.
TJC: Any fashion or jewellery tips?
Anna: Keep to what suits you. We can’t all be Victoria Beckham so let’s leave the spray on jeans and wearing stiletto’s 24 hours a day to her, and wear what suits you. Pick the bits you love from what is hot now and tailor it to suit your life and your body.
TJC: Who is your ultimate style icon?
Anna: I have a few of ladies whose style I admire and I take bits from each. I like Ferne Cotton for her edgy quirkiness but some days I am more for Sienna Miller and her relaxed bohemian style. And I can never skip a mention for the ever timeless and gorgeous classic beauty of Audrey Hepburn.
TJC: Any embarrassing on-screen moments?
Anna: Of course! It would surely involve getting the giggles. We have all done it – that moment where you really shouldn’t laugh but that simple fact makes it harder not to laugh.
You can join Anna for her première show on Friday 6th at 2am.
