For many years I’ve suffered with baby fine hair which falls out easily and lacks body, plus I have a sensitive scalp that can react badly to parabens and sulphates found in many hair products. So, when our beauty buyer, Julie, suggested I try this range of Roots products I was very eager indeed.
This range is sulphate free to prolong your colour, paraben free and silicone free which tend to weigh your hair down. It is cruelty free and suitable for vegans.
If you suffer from hair thinning or loss perhaps due to illness, pregnancy or menopause this set used over a period of months could offer the strength your hair requires to repair.
Start your 3 stage treatment with the shampoo which is suitable for sensitive scalps as well as normal hair. It is formulated to rejuvenate and fortify your hair follicles for healthier and stronger hair as well as reducing the itchiness of irritated scalps.
Secondly use the wonderful smelling minty conditioner which is designed to leave your hair smoother and silkier. I personally found that it worked as a detangler too. My hair felt well cleansed from the minty smell and I left it on for the recommended two minutes before washing off.
Finally, the Intensive Treatment is a highly concentrated leave in formula that really works! You can use it on wet or dry hair twice a day, massaging it into your scalp. I don’t wash my hair everyday but this doesn’t matter, just apply before styling and its quick drying so it doesn’t slow you down.
Personally I think that my hair appears thicker after only a month of use. I am also impressed with the cumulative effect of volumising that it has given to my styling.
Roots suggest that you try the range for at least four months for optimum results. If you only wash your hair a couple of times a week that’s not an issue, just replace your existing shampoo and conditioner and add in the treatment spray. I also use my existing styling products for extra hold.
So, if you have baby fine hair, a sensitive scalp, damage from bleaching, hair thinning and hair line issues, are pregnant, recovering from illness or going through the menopause, give Roots a go and benefit from added thickness and strength.
