How to rock fringe this season

We love textured fashion and one of the easiest ways to add this element to your style is through this season’s top trend. Fringed fashions are a great way to introduce movement and texture to your outfit and are really effective even in small doses.

Here are some of our favourite ways to wear fringe this season:

Fringed kimonos

One of the biggest must-haves for festival season is a fringed kimono. Working great with denim shorts and even welly boots while you’re traipsing across muddy fields with other revellers, a kimono will help you cover up without getting overheated.

Choose a kimono in a light fabric that features fringe around the arms and along the bottom for a great effect. You can wear a floral or patterned style or go for more texture by choosing a crocheted look.

Tassel skirts

A really chic way to wear this trend that is great for both day and night is by sporting a skirt with fringe. The best options are block coloured skirts that feature a neutral shade, such as black or white.

Choose a skirt that falls at or below the knee for the best look, as this will ensure the fringe really moves when you walk. This is also great for showing off your legs in a subtle way.

Textured swimwear

You can even wear fringe to the beach, as a number of brands and designers have been using it across swimwear. It looks great falling from the neckline of your swimsuit and is perfect for giving you a bit more confidence when wearing a bikini.

On-trend jewellery

For a really subtle injection of fringe into your fashion, try featuring it throughout your jewellery. Tasseled designs, such as earrings and necklaces are really effective and can help you rock this trend in an understated way.
